Treatment for veins on face and body.

Spider veins and smaller varicose veins can be treated by Dr. Nowak at our San Diego area practice. Dark leg veins can be an unsightly blemish. Often hereditary and more common in women than in men, leg veins are caused by weak vascular walls and poor circulation. Do you work long hours on your feet? This can also be a contributor to spider and varicose veins.

During a treatment session pulses of intensive laser light are directed into the smaller veins. The treatment works by heating the vein and breaking it up so that it can be reabsorbed by the body and processed as waste. Only a slight tingling sensation can be felt during the procedure so there is no need for any anesthesia.

Several treatments are usually necessary for the vein to disappear, and these treatments should be 4-6 weeks apart for maximum effectiveness.

Patients who undergo Laser Vein Therapy report amazing results! As a patient at Nowak Cosmetic Surgery you’re urged to return to normal activity immediately. The only after effects of treatment may be a slightly scratched appearance, but there should be no pain or discomfort.

The disappearance of the veins will take place after all sessions are complete with dissipation, happening over time.
